The Wits Sterkfontein Caves are officially open to the public again. The world-renowned fossil site offers a unique blend of cutting-edge science and an immersive visitor experience. Home to Mrs Ples and Little Foot, the Wits Sterkfontein Caves remain a global hub for early hominin research, led by Professor Dominic Stratford. Operations and public engagement are now overseen by Dr Job Kibii, marking a new era for this iconic site in the Cradle of Humankind.
