Professor Barry Dwolatzky Memorial Lecture presented by Dr. Solomon Assefa.

A memorial lecture will be held in honour of Professor Barry Dwolatzky. The lecture will be presented by Dr Solomon Assefa. Assefa is a Founder and Partner at C1 Ventures and former Director of IBM Research Labs in Kenya and South Africa. Titled Looking Back & Looking Forward: Building a Sustainable Future Through Science and Technology. The lecture will celebrate Professor Barry Dwolatzky’s profound impact at Wits that spanned 50 years.

In this week's episode, Wits student Harry Saner makes history at the 2024 Paris Olympics as South Africa's first Olympic fencer since 2008, and PhD student Pedro Ornelas wins the John Kiel Scholarship.
