Wits hosted the 22nd Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture with Nobel Prize winner Abdulrazak Gurnah. The Registrar’s Division marked Heritage Month with a 'Lunch in the Dark' to raise awareness about visual impairment and in celebration of Heritage Day. Congratulations to Professors Kenneth Ozoemena and Maya Makatini for receiving prestigious awards in the field of Chemistry. The annual Fak’ugesi African Digital Innovation Festival marked the growth of African digital creativity, and new research suggests that San Rock Art from the Free State may have been inspired by locally abundant dicynodont fossils.
